    Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 - Report date 11/28/18 - OHV trails are open until spring break up, and everything should be pretty firm from the cold temps. There is very little snow on the ground. Trail dozing work is wrapped up due to frozen ground conditions. Beavers are active and will be until their ponds freeze; when encountering a plugged culvert or water over the trail please contact Brady Howe at 715-762-5104 or bjhowe@fs.fed.us.     Georgetown Trail (15.8 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 14 - Report date 12/5/18 - The Georgetown Trail is in good condition for ATV, UTV and Off-road Motorcycle riding. Trail manager - Price County Forestry & Parks Department - 715-339-6371.

    Pine Line / Price-Taylor Rail Trail/Prentice Area ~ CLOSED - The Price County section of the trail allows ATV and UTV use December through March 31 when snowmobile trails are officially open.

  • ATV, UTV & Off-Road Motorcycle Trail Report - 10/18/18


    Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 - Report date 10/17/18 - Trails are in good riding condition. There are no active timber sales on the trails.     Solberg Trail (9.5 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 14 - Report date 10/16/18 - The Solberg Trail is brushed, graded and in very good condition for riding. Due to unsafe bridge conditions, there is a signed detour, using a town road, in place from the parking area located on E. Solberg Lake Road to FR 508. The section of the trail north of the bridge remains open from FR 508 going north. Trail manager - Price County Forestry & Parks Department - 715-339-6371.

    Georgetown Trail (15.8 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 14 - Report date 10/16/18 - The Georgetown Trail is in good condition for ATV, UTV and Off-road Motorcycle riding.     Tuscobia State Trail (64 miles) ~ OPEN April 16 through November 15 - Report date 9/19/18 - The trail is in good riding condition. There is a detour between County Highway E and Buckhorn Road in Price County due to a washout. The detour is via County Highway E and West Buckhorn Road.   • ATV, UTV & Off-Road Motorcycle Trail Report - 9/19/18

    Price County has NOT had the flooding issues that are occurring in other parts of Wisconsin. All trails are in good riding condition. Fall colors are at approximately 25% in northeast Price County (Flambeau Trail System) and 15-20% elsewhere in the county. Peak color it typically during the first week of October.

    Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 - Report date 9/19/18 - Weather conditions are perfect for getting out and enjoying the trails. The trail surface will be less dusty with the mid-week rain we are receiving. The forecast calls for dry conditions this coming weekend. There are currently no active timber sales on the trails. If any trail users encounter a plugged culvert or water over the trail please contact Brady Howe at 715-762-5104 or bjhowe@fs.fed.us. Saturday, September 22 is National Public Lands Day, which is a Fee Free Day on your National Forests. Day use fees are waived on this day at areas such as boat ramps, trail heads and picnic areas.   • Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 - Report date 9/10/18 - Weather conditions are perfect for getting out and enjoying the trails. Things are getting a little dusty in a few spots but otherwise things are looking great. There are currently no active timber sales on the trails. Starting on Monday next week USFS crews will be working on redoing the deck on the bridge at Riley Creek, between FR 144 and 118A-111 and ask that trail users please avoid using this segment during this time as the bridge will be impassible for short periods.   • ATV, UTV & Off-Road Motorcycle Trail Report - 8/22/18


    •Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 - The trail is in good riding condition. On Sunday afternoon
    (August 5, 2018) a small isolated thunderstorm hit the Flambeau Trail in the Sailor Lake area. Trails 118G-102, 118LN, and 118H-121 had trees down, primarily between FR 653 and Sailor Lake Road. USFS crews were able to saw out the trails and make them passable on Monday. The USFS Heavy Equipment crew has wrapped up their work, so trail users should not encounter any equipment on the trail. Several failed culverts were replaced, mud holes/wet spots fixed, and rough spots were bladed.

  • Heavy equipment crews have wrapped up work on the Flambeau Trail System in the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest. They were busy blading the trail, replacing failed culverts, brushing, and resurfacing some sections of trail with fresh gravel. Currently there are no active timber sales on the trails. Beavers recently plugged a culvert east of Sailor Lake Campground, so please be on the lookout for any water flowing over the trail. The Solberg Trail is in very good riding condition. The Georgetown Trail is in good shape for ATV, UTV and Off-road Motorcycle riding. There are several active logging operations, slow down for safety. The Tuscobia State Trail is closed/detoured between County Highway E and Buckhorn Road in Price County due to a large washout. Detour is via County Highway E and West Buckhorn Road. Temporary Trail Section Closure beginning July 9: A portion of the Tuscobia State Trail east of Winter to Clover Rd. will be closed/detoured beginning July 9 due to construction needed to complete washout repairs. The Flambeau River State Forest ATV/UTV trail system is in good condition on the Flambeau River State Forest. Two logging sales began July 23 along the ATV trail. Use caution and be aware of the signage indicating heavy equipment use on trails.
